Mackinaw Cabin is a newer, hand-hewn log home located on the northern shore of Lake Michigan on it's own private beach.  It is located about 3 miles west of St. Ignace on Pt. LaBarbe Road.  The cabin has a private setting in a cedar woods on a small hill overlooking the lake.  There is a walkway to the beach.  The beach in this area is stone so you'll want to bring your water shoes.  The water deepens gently making it ideal for children to swim.

The cabin has a fully applianced kitchen, dining area and large living room.  The cathedral ceiling above the living room is accented by an old wooden canoe converted to a light fixture.  There is a full bath on the main level and the large master bedroom.

Upstairs in the loft area, there is ample sleeping for the rest of the family.  Weekly rentals are limited to 6 guests.  Sorry, no camping on the property.  No smoking and no pets.

There is a large deck in front of the cabin that's great for relaxing and grilling your dinner while you watch the freighters float by.

Your stay includes all linens and cleaning.  Our caretaker will visit you to insure your comfortable stay.

Rates for 2007 are $900 per week (includes tax).
